Call Diversions

Overview

Through the portal and Voice Over Cloud platform we are able to perform diversions out to an external phone or mobile number. This allows legacy systems and devices to connect into the platform. We recommend that this is a last resort technique, the preferred method to get a call to a external user, road warrior, mobile nomad, remote team member or the like, we strongly recommend to use the mobile app to provide the flexibility in communications and provide the best experience for all the parties involved in the call.

Caller ID

Please note that on a diverted call, we are required to display the number the person dialled as the caller id. You will not be able to identify the person calling by their caller id, you will have to obtain the caller’s number from them, alternatively you can find the caller’s number ( if they weren’t calling from a Private number ) in the portal, under the call reporting section.

This is the case to comply with recent changes to anti spam laws and also to combat forwarded calls out to the Telstra network which are now rejected if they attempt to send through another Telstra phone number.
